Spotify has landed in the U.S.

Ok, Spotify hit the US. Finally? After three years of test marketing in Europe... I have been using it for about three years (right after it was launched) FOR FREE and was really happy with the free account until Spotify decided to change their rules in the beginning of May 2011 and killed the free version in such a sneaky way.
"The changes are mainly that you're able to listen to any track in the catalogue a total of 5 times with a monthly limitation on the service at 10 hours of streaming. In essence, this will keep the service free for those who want to search for new music in the future as well, but will pretty much disable the possibility to take full advantage of the service in a free way." (www.arcticstartup.com)
I was still pretty sure to get the premium account anyways, but when I launched the "new Spotify" it started to sync or suck ALL music files from my hard drive to the damn Spotify library, crashed my iTunes, Spotify and a pretty important presentation I was working on. So as you can imagine, I was not really pleased. In fact I was totally pissed off. I immediately switched to Grooveshark, also because it is more international meaning people outta Europe have the same access, users do not need fancy invites, I did not get the feeling to kill "Tom from Spotify" (Europeans know what I am talking about...) and so on.
I know Spotify will be a huge success in the US and will basically kill iTunes, all other old skool music apps and is going to be the market leader in music streaming. I wish them the best of luck and maybe, maybe I will get back to it if grooveshark does not make it's way through their legal issues. Also it would be very nice to have some international pricing for spotifiy. There is kind of a difference between 10$, 10£, or 10€.... All people who are just discovering Spotify. Enjoy!!!!

http://www.networkawesome.com/

"Network Awesome is a platform for entertaining and interesting TV. We spotlight the best from the past to create something new for the future. In a sense it’s TV about TV but our wider intent is to show something about culture as a whole. This can manifest itself in a kids cartoon from 1973, an interview from 1948 or a movie from 1993 – We’re pretty open minded about what Network Awesome is and what it can be. It’s our commitment to provide you what we think is interesting and clever TV - hopefully you agree.

Because Network Awesome is an online platform, we collect all our programming from fully public sources. We claim no proprietary rights over any programming. We just collect, organize and present it to you in a nice and tidy package. Quality is our goal and only guiding light."
