The Dø - Too Insistent (Trentemoller Remix)

I chose the trentemoller remix to ge myself in the mood for...:
...tonights makrosounds line-up. the dø in helsinki. finnish-french mixture. sounds awesome? yep indeed! and they are. they are one of the best live-performing bands I ever saw. if you have the chance to check them out in your town. goooooooo it is totally worth it! there are still tix left for helsinki, so helsinkians, go for it. their next gigs are btw mostly in scandinavia aka sweden, denmark, funland etc. so this here goes to all scandinavians and those who ended up there!


the dø is a French/Finnish indie pop band founded in Paris in 2005. The band is Olivia Merilahti (singer and musician) and Dan Levy (multi-instrumentalist). The duo has been backed on stage by three different drummers (Jérémie Pontier 2007–2008, José Joyette 2008–2009, Pierre Belleville since 2009). "Trullie released her debut EP, Self-Taught Learner, through American Myth Recordings on February 17, 2009. She performed at New York City's Mercury Lounge on February 11, 2009 in anticipation of the CD release. The cover of the EP featured a woman's posterior clad in hot pants, taken from a 1970s pornographic magazine.

Trullie then signed with Wichita Recordings, who released her EP in Europe. Photographer Cass Bird directed the video for her single, “Boy Boy”, which was partially filmed in the basement of the Lit Lounge on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Actress Chloë Sevigny had a cameo as a merchandise sales girl. In 2009, The Observer grouped Trullie with other singers gaining notice with their distinct fashion, 1980s references, and androgyny, including Lady Gaga, Little Boots, Ladyhawke, and Elly Jackson's synth duo La Roux." Friska Viljor - Oh Oh

Saturdays Music coming from Sweden. Old Track, great band!

Friska Viljor are a Swedish indie rock band from Stockholm. Daniel Johansson and Joakim Sveningsson founded the band in January 2005. The men of Friska Viljor have pledged to never compose sober (!?!). The band is about to move to Berlin.

Their debut album Bravo! was released in Sweden in 2006 then the rest of the world the following year. Tour de Hearts was released to the world on the 21st of May 2008. The band has toured internationally, performing at the Rock am Bach Festival in Neuhofen an der Ybbs, Austria in 2007. (Wiki)

In case you are planning to hit some easter parties (or let's celebrate a huge weekend party). Check this one out before you leave. Really nice and non cheap DnB by Camo & Crooked. Enjoy.

Camo & Krooked are a drum and bass duo from Vienna, Austria, consisting of Reinhard "Camo" Rietsch (Born November 12, 1983 in Salzburg) and Markus "Krooked" Wagner (Born July 31, 1989 in Lilienfeld).
Both Rietsch and Wagner have been producing music since 2002. They met at one of Rietsch's gigs and collaborated to form Camo & Krooked in 2007. Their first release was in 2008 with "Play It / Hidden Edge / Drop It!".
Due to Camo & Krooked success with Above & Beyond released in February 2010, they won Best Newcomer DJ's at the 2010 Drum & Bass: Arena Awards, and put out two mixes for BBC Radio 1‘s Annie Nightingale, Fabio & Grooverider. Grooverider later quoted that Camo & Krooked are “one of the biggest talents in Drum & Bass”. Both of these mixes bring to the table Camo & Krooked‘s usual varying sub-genres of drum and bass.
Camo & Krooked were signed by Hospital Records on the December 4, 2010, to join Netsky, High Contrast and Danny Byrd.
On June 3, 2011, Camo & Krooked released their first single from their upcoming album, "All Fall Down / Breezeblock" ventured into new genres for them into the realms of dubstep. "All Fall Down" reached number 97 on the UK Singles Chart and number 14 on the UK Dance Chart. (Wiki)

Epire is my favorite song from their latest album "Ugly" released on the 3rd of April. They are different, most likely rough and absolutely talented! Love em. Japandroids is a Canadian rock duo from Vancouver, British Columbia. The group consists of Brian King (guitar, vocals) and David Prowse (drums, vocals). Formed in 2006, Japandroids rose to prominence in 2009 following the release of their debut album Post-Nothing. The group toured extensively throughout 2009–2010, earning praise for their energetic live performances.

The Amplifetes is a 4-piece band from Sweden. The individual members have had success as songwriters and producers, working with artists such as Kelis, Britney Spears, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, and Grandmaster Flash. The four members began working together in 2007, and released their first single, It's My Life, in 2008. "It´s My Life" is a reflection of urban life and a happy three-part marriage of garage pop, electro and punk. The song was featured in a promo campaign for Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli, starring a lightly dressed Milla Jovovich, which created quite a stir throughout Europe. (Wiki)
